PlayBook - BES5 & VPN intranet

PlayBook - BES5 & VPN intranet

PlayBook - BES5 & VPN intranet
Hi guys,
I've been trying for 2 days on this and it's driving me up a challenging wall.
I'm trying to do 2 things with the BlackBerry PlayBook; well 3.
1. Access WebDesktop Manager provided by BES5
= this works on home WLAN with VPN enabled in Settings> Security.
2. Access BES5 web logon
- doesn't work on home WLAN nor on work "guest" wlan (internet not intranet) with VPN.
3. Access Intranet page (not an https but a trusted site)
- doesn't work on home WLAN nor on work "guest" wlan with VPN.
BTW: VPN is a Cisco Easy setup.
groupname, IP, id & pw are accurate (I've tested this extensively and can do so using the basic setup as a new network connection on OSX SL at home).
- XAUTH-PKS is used.
Has anyone gotten playbook to work with their VPN settings manually input? our VPN doesn't use certificates that I'm aware of but I've considered it. will fiddle a bit more with today's stress gone but so tired.

What is a VPN?

VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) were first used by companies to enable their employees to securely access internal systems such as email remotely (e.g. from home or while on business trips). Today they are increasingly being used for personal use by individuals to protect their privacy while online in public places (e.g. when using the wi-fi connection in a cafe) or in a country where the internet is censored / blocked (e.g. China, Saudi Arabia).

Why do I need a VPN?

Whether youre an expat living in a foreign country where the internet is heavily regulated, a mobile user constantly on the road, or just someone concerned with maintaining their privacy online, having aVPNis becoming essential.
